I think I’ve posted this exact track on my blog before, but here it is again because it’s so fucking classic.

Threatening and ominous work dominated by looming drones and surging noise walls.
From the description:
Nihil Obstat’s only goal is the creation of foreboding industrial nightmares, free from the restricting conventions of ‘controversial’ ideologies or ‘shock tactic’ conventions.
A refreshing take.

The Hanatarashi – Born to be Wild, now available.
What is the rarest Boredoms side-project recording?
Eye was telling me about how the Karoake bars in Osaka have the capability to record a CD of the patron’s evening of song for about $20. Eye talked about how he had them record his sing-along to ’Born To Be Wild.’ Just the idea of this blew my mind. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have it anymore. He went to a record shop (Forever 3 in Osaka, I believe) and sold it for like $70… and the store sold it for about $150 almost immediately.

Mortalized & The Guilty Connector - Concerto For Harsh Noise Grind #1
When I first saw this my impression was: “wut? :O”. Apparently this is an legit release. I know very little of it. There’s some scarce information on Metal Archives and Discogs. Supposedly it’s a tape released in 2001. The tracklist on both sites is different from the one I have but I guess the person who was ripping this knew what he was doing. The music itself is very short (lasts around 7 minutes in total) but it’s a wild ride through those 7 minutes. Fast crunchy grindcore fused with br00tal harsh noise. What more could you want?
